Zali Levy - ARCH 1101 - Introduction
ARCH 1101: Before first lesson
This is an image of my final product for my Major Project for Design and Technology last year. I generated this design as a modular, affordable and sustainable solution for the younger generation in Sydney. What I found was interesting about this design is the fact that all corners of the dwellings no matter the size are the same, only the length of 3 of the walls change to accommodate a larger size family.
This is an image of the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Centre created by Zaha Hadid. During high school this was one of the images my teacher shared with our class, illustrating the way architects can create iconic and unique buildings. What is interesting about this piece of architecture is the way the building to built to be made to look 'soft' with the inclusion of the smooth curved lines.
This is an image of the entrance to The Louvre in Paris that I took recently on my trip to Europe. What I find interesting about this beautiful picture is the way the light is reflecting on the geometric pyramid structure. The collection of geometric shapes that are combined create an iconic image that I personally find fascinating.
